Purpose and goal

The value chain was mapped and several (new) partners were identified. Partner roles and how / where GMT fits into the value chain were clarified. We got a good picture of what all actors/ partners want to achieve and the market´s future needs. The need for industry relevant data and how we could solve and share future IP were seen as important points, and strategies were developed. Possible project partners were asked and it then became clear that this type of DEMO project was not relevant for everyone. Instead it was decided that the processes will continue in other ways.

Expected results and effects

The value chain for Ag/Gr composites was mapped: (i) business roles for partners; defined and ensured that all partners had samsyn (ii) increased data generation; is solved by everyone contributing according to their competence according to industry standards (iii) IP range; the need for strategies in line with each partner was mapped (iv) partners for a complete range; several different stakeholders and partners were mapped This has created a basis for GMT to be able to establish partnerships in the field and we are now in a much better position now to shape the future of these materials.

Planned approach and implementation

The project was initiated by GMT with existing partners in mind. After dialogue with them, as well as some new partners, we were able to get a clearer picture of the value chain, understand motives and set up possible ways forward. It was clear that not everyone agreed on the form in which further development would be conducted, so we decided not to proceed in Vinnova-financed form. One conclusion from this is that the preparation project was necessary to arrive at that insight, and at the same time it gave us much better contacts, several possible partners - and various alternative ways forward
