Participate in developing new services with sensitive data
Do you want to find smart solutions to real problems and at the same time challenge how we share and use sensitive data? Innovationstävlingen Vinter is aimed at companies and developers who want to find solutions in infrastructure or smart digital services for the benefit of people with diabetes, their relatives and healthcare.

The innovation competition is part of the pilot initiative Winter, which Vinnova runs together with a number of societal actors with the aim of finding solutions for safe use and sharing sensitive data.
Who can participate?
The competition invites companies and other developers to take part in health data and data from patient records to develop digital services. It can be about services that can be used by people with diabetes or by their relatives, but also about solutions that are useful in health care.
The competition has three categories:
- Service development of consumer services
- Service development of producer services
- Infrastructure development
All competition participants are offered training
Everyone who participates in the competition is offered to participate in an online course aimed at future life science entrepreneurs. The education is provided by SmiLe e-campus. The program provides a broad introduction to business models, corporate governance, funding, intellectual property rights, regulatory issues, marketing and how to pitch to investors. The topics are relevant to all areas of life science.
Competition platform for secure sharing of sensitive data
With the support of Vinnova in the spring of 2021, a consortium has developed a digital platform for secure sharing and use of data, HOPE Databroker. Competition participants will have access to the platform, which in addition to the competition framework contains health data from individuals with type 1 diabetes.
Vinnova has, together with a number of different authorities and important societal actors, developed a competition framework for the innovation competition. The framework provides competition participants with the information they need to understand strategically, operationally and technically what is required to develop digital services in the innovation competition.
The competition runs until February 25. The winners will be presented at a prize ceremony on April 6.
