Towards a sustainable society
FFI, Vehicle Strategic research and Innovation, has since its inception in 2009 contributed to industry, academia, institutes and authorities in collaboration having come a long way in the development of knowledge in several vehicle-related technology areas.
Sedan FFI was founded, we have financed over 900 project, where over 500 organizations participated and contributed. Many of these project are crucial for Sweden's ability to meet the challenges that lie on the way to a future sustainable society. In this way, FFI has also influenced the industry's investment decisions and probably earlier introduction of new, environmentally friendly technologies.
In a sustainable society, safe and sustainable road transport is needed, but the negative impact of transport must be radically reduced. To whisper success in our endeavor, many need help.
Even if the transition has begun, we are not close to reaching the goals, the pace must increase.
FFI is now working methodically to create a new program agenda for 2020–2030 and will begin the next step with new initiatives and a new roadmap in March 2022.
