The purpose of this call is to provide an opportunity to apply for funding research and development project proposals with the potential to contribute to performance targets and effect goals of the strategic innovation programme Metallic materials. Priority will be given to projects not covered by the programme’s previous call "Metallic materials - high and guaranteed product performance in a value chain perspective". Who can apply?

Consortia consisting of, for example, companies, public organizations, research institutes, universities, colleges or other legal entities with activities in Sweden. The project group must contain at least two project partners where at least one must be a Swedish company. Foreign organizations without a branch or establishment/place of business in Sweden may participate in the projects but cannot receive grants.

How much can you apply for?

There is no upper limit per project, but the grant from Vinnova may amount to a maximum of 50 per cent of the total eligible cost of the project. The remaining costs are financed by the project partners themselves. The call budget is SEK 12 million.

    How to apply

    To apply for funding, you need to complete an application form in our application portal, Intressentportalen. The form contains questions about your project, project members and budget.

    Allow enough time to complete the application

    Please keep in mind that it takes time to make an application. Filling in all the templates can take several days, since they are based on analyzes you need to do. Therefore, start the application well in advance. You can start filling in data, save and continue at a later time. Even when the application is complete, you can at any time unlock the application and make changes right up until the call closes.

    What happens after the call has closed?

    Once your application has been registered, we'll send a confirmation email to the person responsible for the user account, as well as to the project manager and the company signer. Please note that this may take a few hours after the call has closed.

    After the closing date, you can't register any new information. You may only add information to your application if we ask for it.

    Who can read your application?

    Applications submitted to us become official documents. However, we don't disclose information about business operations, inventions or research results if it can be assumed that someone will suffer economic damage if we do.

    This means that we must disclose the documents if someone requests them. However, we can black out information if we believe it could cause economic harm if disclosed.
