The strategic innovation programme, Metallic material, gathers Sweden’s metals industries within steel, aluminium, hard metals, cast steel, cast iron and cast non-ferrous metals. Here we list the application opportunities within the programme.

Central part of Sweden’s commercial life

The metal industry's long experience of establishing niche markets means that today it is a central and growing sector of Swedish commercial life. By meeting the growing demands for sustainable solutions the metal industry creates growth within key industry such as transport, energy recovery, energy generation, construction and the manufacturing industry. The metal industry is also an important part of the development of the circular economy.

Springboard to the metallic materials of the future - Step 1

This is call for proposals number 16 under the strategic innovation program Metallic Materials. The call "Springboard for the metallic materials of the future - Step 1" is the first of two calls aimed at the Swedish metal and engineering industry to take place in the absolute technical, economic and environmental fronts through now emerging technologies and new approaches. The call offers support to feasibility studies to operationalize ideas, build consortia and develop a complete plan to implement the idea.
